The World Wide Web is becoming an indispensable information medium in today's society. Many people, companies, organizations, colleges, universities, government and research institutions provide and access a huge amount of information world-wide. It's changing and dynamic nature make it the fastest growing division of the Internet. Library Services provides information about the World Wide Web, how to search it effectively and how to evaluate web resources for credibility and authenticity. The primary objective of the World Wide Web Guide is to equip students with the necessary skills to be efficient and effective web searchers. Faculty are encouraged to partner with their librarian to explore various methods of integrating this guide into their program.
How to Use the WWW Guide
The WWW Guide can be accessed in its entirety by following the Next arrows at the bottom of each web page. However, searchers may also explore particular topics within the guide by selecting an option from the navigation menu on the left. This guide should take approximately 10-15 minutes to complete. The option of printing the complete guide and reading it offline is also provided.
