Library Services

NSCC provides library resources and services located at 14 Campus Libraries throughout the province. They include:

Resources

• A resource collection that supports teaching and learning at the Campus accessible via the Novanet catalogue.
• Databases that provide access to full text information on a variety of subjects.
• Periodical and journal collections at each Campus Library.
• Subject guides that support College programs.

Services

• Live Help service where students, faculty, and staff can chat live with a librarian for assistance.
• Ask a Librarian service where students, faculty, and staff can submit an information request online.
• Instructional services such as tours, orientations, workshops and information literacy programs.
• Distance library services for Online Learning students and faculty.
• Assistance on compiling a bibliography and citing sources for a research paper or report.
• Interlibrary loan services.
• Reserve services.

Facilities & Equipment

• Comfortable facilities for students to study and complete assignments.
• Computer workstations for students to access the Novanet catalogue and other electronic resources, as well as to complete assignments.
• Additional computer equipment such as color printers and scanners is available.
• Access to an Online Learning computer and exam invigilation.
